This year in Photo class I learned numerous of things that I’m going to use in life. In my photo’s they actually express how I fell physically and emotionally. I enjoyed Photo class it became my favorite class. I learned how to take perfect pictures. I also learned how to take photos without looking normal with a regular senior picture smile. This semester I learned a lot. I enjoyed everything we did in photo class. It wasn’t one thing that I didn’t like.
What I like most about this year is the hybrid I thought that was fun and funny. I struggled with a lot of things for a while until I put my mind to it and got on track and started doing my work and turning it in. Things got better and clearer to me. I feel Digital photo Class teaches a lot and you can express your feelings in the photos. Expressing your feelings in photos brings the photos together and makes nice art work. That’s what I learned in half of my photos taken.

Self Portraits
Self Portraits
In the self portraits what I was trying to capture and express is mixed feelings of how I feel. My ideas changed numerous of times. When I started taking pictures it was difficult for me because I am used to taking a normal picture. As I kept taking pictures I started to get more focused with the idea of what we were doing. What I was trying to capture in my photo is element, light, rule of thirds, and personal prop. The photo I thought was most creative was the one I took on top of the stadiums at the top in the back was the door was. It is the most creative because I honestly never took a picture like that because it isn’t a normal picture, in that picture it expresses the way I feel because the way I’m looking. The thing that was most difficult for me is taking a different picture from the usual I take. The creativity plays into the success of your self-portraits because it helps people take better pictures then a normal picture.
In my photos we were told that are photos needed good contrast, good value, and a strong emphasis. I did all of that in my photos. In my light photo I tried to find an area with good lighting so my picture could capture the light I was trying to use. The one when I’m sitting on the wall shows a lot of composition. In that photo I’m expressing a lot of filling. The picture that I captured rule of thirds is the one when I’m on the stairs bending over. I’m not directly in the center of the camera the stairs are. The type of things I did to compositionally strengthen my pictures is I took my pictures in a different area other then knowing that we were at are school so the picture could be different from the photos taken in before. The things I did that weekend my compositionally is expressing the way I feel. The portrait that had the strongest was the one I took standing up bending back. The portrait I would change my composition on is the picture I took sitting in the desk the photo I showed my personal prop.
In one of my photos the one when I was in the stairs is too bright. I was basically trying to capture light and I feel I captured to much light. I think my personal prop one is a little blurry. My weaknesses are taking rule of third pictures and my strengths is taking light photos.
My overall opinion of my portraits is I believe I could have taken better photos. What I would different if had to do it again is I would take clearer and better light pictures.

Personal metaphor

Personal Metaphor
The metaphor I choose to do was I feel like I’m in love so sweet like ice cream. I choose to do that because I feel like I’m in love that it feels so sweet like ice cream. What I was trying to express but didn’t turn out how I wanted it to be I fill like I am in love so sweet like ice cream. The mood I was trying to capture is love. I tried to place myself on different sides and then the middle looked best for me so I left it there. The center where my head is the strong focal area my head stands out the most because it’s red and it’s supposed to be the cherry.
I think my composition is balanced because I evened every thing out. My metaphor is unified because it’s all balanced. What I think I did well is how o used the healing brush tool well when I made myself look like the ice cream. What I thought was difficult was the layer mask and the whole concept of my metaphor. What I could have done better is I could of came up with something better and I also needed more time on my metaphor because I’m not that good at Photo Shop. I What I would of change is how I changed my head into the cherry. I think I could have made it look better.

Aged Photo
Balance with Frames

In this project we were given a frame. We had to use it in our composition. We also had to be in our photo, but not in the center. It was to be black and white, and we needed to create a sense of visual balance.
I created balance by trying not to be in the middle of the photo. I didn't know that the shadow was going to be in one of my photos like that but i like it in my photo because it brings all the gray and dark colors in my photo!!
Random Object

We were each assigned a random object to photograph. we could choose to have it it in color or black and white. We were to focus on "The Three C's"
According to my peers one thing i did well was how i set up the picture, the way i angled it also the color and the shadow it has. One thing they suggested i work on was i should be a little bit more still so it wont be so blurry. Also take it more better because it looks as if it was cut out a little.

Egg Challenge

In this project each student was given an egg to photograph. We were to take a photo in both color and black and white. We were supposed to exemplify one or more of the following: Creativity, Craftsmanship or Composition.I believe my black and white photo was successful because i liked how i used the two objects and made it look creative. I liked how i centered it and took it from the center i thought it brought out the photo!
